Stéphane BASTIEN
Beach Inventor
Self-taught artist. He began alone with modeling, then spent a year at Alberto CARLISKY's studio in Paris.
In the 1990s, he discovered and regularly attended the NICOLI studio in Carrara, a historical specialist in marble sculpture. His work includes drawing, modeling, plaster, iron, resins, stone, and marble, with a figurative style.
Among the various themes he explores, the beach holds a significant place in his work. He examines beach codes, social codes, and the relationship with the body.
With "Exposition au soleil," he has participated in several exhibitions and installations, including at Espace Scipion in Paris, La Passerelle in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Saint-Tropez, Carpentras, and private gardens.
